Party People, it’s been a great year. 1200Dreams’ first year has been one of working hard and well, partying harder! We want to thank all our members and those who drop by to read the articles and listen to the mixes for all your love and support.

Now, we know a lot of you will be busy during these festive days and nights while you shop for those last minute gifts, partake in late night gift wrapping sessions, and moving the furniture aside for those lovely House parties. We know some of you might not have had the time to put together a good playlist so we’ve done the hard work for you. We present the 1200Dreams 2009 Holiday Playlist.

Following are exclusive mixes made especially for 1200Dreams by some of the hottest DJ’s making their way right now. So, pump it up and give your Holidays some bounce!

TECH HOUSE

DJ Roland Gonzales is a rising star in the city of Toronto, where the scene is blowing up with quality clubs and DJ’s abound. His mixes are full of deep and solid beats and will keep you in the groove for the duration. Start burning off those calories now.

TRANCE

DJ MoReX hails from Tampa. His sets put you in the zone and take you to another world, like a good Trance set should. Enjoy this mix AFTER you’ve had your fill of Eggnog and you will be thankful.

HOUSE

DJ Pinkie Tuscadero is a female DJ from the Bronx, New York with a love for House that goes deep, like her mixes. Sweet blends, dope beats, what more could you ask for. Turn down the lights and pump up the stereo. It’s a party!

OLD SCHOOL HIP HOP, PARTY JAMS, & MORE

DJ Mixturess from Rotterdam, Netherlands loves herself some Hip Hop. Even though she’s from halfway across the world her record crates and her knowledge in Hip Hop culture go deeper than some of the cats I know growing up in the backyard of its birthplace. This young lady is going places so keep your ears tuned and your feet moving, actually, once you press play on her mix of old and new school Hip Hop, classic party jams, and more you’ll be moving more than just your feet!

MUSICA DE NAVIDAD – HOLIDAY MUSIC LATINO STYLE

The Holiday sounds you grew up hearing as a kid are far removed from the sounds you hear in the booming clubs as an adult. But no matter how far from home you travel these songs stay with you. That is why as a music lover and as a Latino, I cannot have a Holiday Playlist without representing the traditional sounds of my youth (and some newer ones too).

Following is a Holiday themed collection of songs put together by DJ Kenny Miranda, from Hollywood, California. The Latino sounds represented here are Salsa and Musica Jibara from Puerto Rico and Merengue and Bachata from Dominican Republic.

So, gather ‘la familia’ in ‘la sala’, pull out the Coquito y vamos a parandiar! Feliz Navidades!
