DJ OF THE WEEK 12.14.09: KOOL MIKE SKI

Born and raised in the Boogie Down Bronx where it all began, Kool Mike Ski is of the first generation of DJs who use to plug in to lamp posts to power their gear for the now infamous block parties and basically help establish the culture we love so much today. Kool Mike Ski has worked along greats such as DJ Scott La Rock (RIP), Naughty By Nature, Fat Joe, King Sun, Krs-One (BDP), and the list goes on. He continues to do his thing in the Bronx and wherever anyone who appreciates and wants to get down to some old school flava calls upon his name. So get your boom boxes ready, get out the rollerskates, Kool Mike Ski is ’bout to get fresh!

!!!SKIPPIN’ NEEDLE ALERT!!!

Made an error and posted a mix by Eddie B Swift as a Kool Mike Ski mix. Have corrected the error and the following mix is indeed by Kool Mike Ski. In fact, it’s a bona fide, real-deal, homebrew mixtape, in two parts; Side A and Side B! Now, that’s old school.

As a bonus, you still get to keep the Eddie B Swift mix. My bad!!
