Electric Zoo Adds Second Main Stage PLUS Phase 1 Artist Lineup Announced!

Electric Zoo: New York’s Electronic Music Festival is thrilled to announce the addition of a second Main Stage to celebrate its fifth anniversary as New York’s premiere electronic music festival. Electric Zoo is also excited to announce headlining artists performing on both Main Stage West and Main Stage East, as the festival continues to bring the world’s best talent in dance music to Randall’s Island Park for a three-day summer bash over Labor Day Weekend, August 30, August 31, and September 1.
Five years ago, Electric Zoo stormed onto the scene, bringing electronic dance music to the forefront in New York City. Since then Electric Zoo has seen attendees from 188 countries and all 50 states making the pilgrimage to the greatest city in the world to celebrate electronic dance music with like-minded fans and internationally renowned DJs and live acts. In 2013, Electric Zoo continues to evolve and expand with the addition of a new Main Stage – Main Stage East, for a total of two open-air stages, plus three state-of-the-art tents: The Hilltop, The Riverside and Made Event’s legendary Sunday School Tent. This will all be set in the lush landscape of Randall’s Island, complete with exquisite views of the Manhattan Skyline and the East River.
“Every year we have been committed to improving the Electric Zoo experience for all of our fans. This year we decided to celebrate our fifth year anniversary by going bigger and adding a 2nd main stage with 30 more acts to celebrate our collective passion for dance music.”
– Laura De Palma & Mike Bindra, Founders of Made Event & Creators of Electric Zoo

Electric Zoo has also established an “18 and older” policy for all festival attendees, effective immediately. The festival has listened to fans’ requests for this change, and has made the decision to follow the industry standard for electronic dance music festivals. Full refunds will be issued to anyone under the age of 18 who has already purchased a ticket. For information on obtaining a refund, please click here.

“Electric Zoo might not be the country’s largest, splashiest, or most hyped electronic dance music festival. But we’re going to go on record and say that it’s the best.” — BILLBOARD
“The only way to truly understand Electric Zoo and the dance music culture itself is to experience it – to put yourself dead center, amid the furry boots and driving bass lines. EDM is something you need to feel, not only hear, if you ever wish to truly understand it.” — ROLLING STONE
“For the fourth year in a row, Electric Zoo has redecorated New York City’s Randall’s Island in its own sparkly neon image, transforming the East River outpost from public park to a floating big-name rave boat.” — SPIN
“What the people of Made Event do best is bring together a line up of considerable diversity.” — DANCINGASTRONAUT.com
“The selection of artists is top notch here every year. Whereas many other festivals play it safe and stack their lineups with the most famous and the flavor of the month, the curators of Zoo love to switch it up year after year, introducing fresh new artists and interesting combinations.” — LESSTHAN3.com

“New York is one of the hubs for EDM in the USA. The energy here is over the top. The people bring it harder than most places around the world. It is an honor to play at this festival which is one of my favorites around the world.” – STEVE AOKI
