Marc Kinchen Returns With 9 Classics Never Released In Digital Format [MUSIC]

One of the most referenced producers of the last year and one of the most influential producers on the scene; MK aka Marc Kinchen presents a sublime collection of his work, much of which has been previously unavailable digitally, on this latest volume in the House Masters series.

During the halcyon period of House music in the early 90s, Marc Kinchen became one of the genre’s most respected producers and in-demand remixers. Starting out at an incredibly young age in Detroit as a protégé of Techno god Kevin Saunderson before later moving to New York, he fast became a prolific figure in the dance music community. Here twenty of his most influential recordings are collected and made available completely unedited, unmixed and DJ friendly for the very first time. This package includes 9 tracks that have never been made available digitally.

In case you think, the hype is not warranted, check out what these DJ legends have to say about Kinchen.

Kerri Chandler “I don’t think I ever DJed a set without at least playing one MK track.”

Kevin Saunderson “MK is very important to the scene because he has been through the history of dance music. He was around in the late 80s and early 90s starting out in Detroit. His records have hooks… they simply work, he knows what to do, he is still around and he still has it.”

Frankie Knuckles “MK, a giant inspiration in House Music”

Louie Vega, Vega Records, Masters At Work “MK will always be one of my favorite producer / remixers. He was ahead of his time with his music and to this day continues to inspire us all.”

Felix Buxton (Basement Jaxx) “A true innovator and originator, a pioneer of true deep house. Todd Edwards was playing a few of his classic tunes at the Ministry on Saturday and they still sound wicked.”

Todd ‘The God’ Edwards “MK’s use of vocals became the cornerstone of my musical style. I can say with 100% certainty, without MK’s influence, there would be no Todd Edwards. The musical elements of MK’s work were very different from other producers at the time. His tracks were soulful but had something more… perhaps they were more futuristic.”
