REMIX CULTURE: Nick Bertke Remixes Pop Culture

Nick Bertke from Pert, Western Australia calls himself a remix artist. Thing is, he is nothing like the usual type of remixers we write about here on 1200Dreams.

See, Bertke who goes by the name Pogo, records “sounds from my favourite games and movies, and piece them together like a jigsaw puzzle to create completely new music”. You can say he’s kind of like a DJ Shadow but, instead of digging through records, Bertke digs through pop culture; movies, cartoons, sitcoms, all serve as his pallette of inspiration.
