Anjunabeats Releases Statement On Will.i.am's Supposed Stealing of Rebound
Many of you may have heard about a lil bit of trouble Will.i.am has found himself in lately in relation to his sampling of Arty and Mat Zo’s song “Rebound,” but until now no one had heard from Anjunabeats, the actual label involved. Well, said label spoke today and it doesn’t sound good for Will.i.am.
As you may recall, Will.i.am “sampled” Arty and Mat Zo’s track “Rebound,” for his track “Let’s Go featuring Chris Brown.” Will.i.am claims it was all a miscommunication, or lack thereof and that he more or less released the song thinking all had been cleared.
Well, turns out Anjunabeats, the legal owner of the master recording never heard from Will.i.am or anyone in his camp and claim the samplling is a straight up rip off! Damn, Will.i.am, what’s up with that?
Here is Anjunabeats official statement on the matter.
