DANCING IN THE STREETS – NY DANCE PARADE TO HIT BWAY
Dance is an art form that generally refers to movement of the body, usually rhythmic and to music used as a form of expression, social interaction or presented in a spiritual or performance setting.
On May 22nd 2010 at 1:00PM on Broadway and 21st street that spiritual place is going to be New York City and the ceremony will be The New York Dance Parade. Over 3,600 people are already registered and are getting ready to dance their way through the NYC streets!
The people who produce this event’s mission is to to promote dance as an expressive and unifying art form by showcasing all forms of dance, educating the general public about the opportunity to experience dance and celebrate the diversity of dance. All kinds of dancers are going to be in the parade such as hip hop, salsa, ballet, belly dancing, modern and tango – but hundreds of house heads are already registered to dance in the parade so you know it is going to a bangin’ slammin jam and big time PARTY! I am so excited and cant wait to shake what I got off of the nightclub floor and onto the NYC streets! Wear your sneakers and bring water ya’ll – -lets get this party started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The parade will end and the party will begin at the DANCEFEST in Tompkins Square Park. Dancefest features a jammin’ outdoor dance party ( you will find me there) and there will also be dance lessons, performances and general fun 🙂
