REMIX PLEASE! ONE FANS WISH TO HEAR A CLASSIC CUT MAKE A RETURN
A long time ago, in the golden age of clubs in NYC …came a record that was way ahead of its time. This jam was produced with such vengeance and passion, no other record has ever even come close to this smokin’ production. If this record was food it would be one of those high priced hard to say items on a menu. The kinda dish that you only need a little taste of to know you LOVE it!
Salsa House came to us as an import on the label FFRR in 1989 and the artist was a guy who had the same name as an emcee at the Roxy nightclub in NYC that I knew, Richie Rich. I never knew who he was, and I never needed to, all I needed was my nightly dose of that sexy rhythm with the hard edged beat and soft flow.
‘Salsa House’ would be played louder than loud on the dance floors of legendary nite spots such as the Tunnel, Sound Factory, the Red Zone and more. DJ’s, go find a copy now if you don’t already have it (and no, I will not sell you my copy)!
This is one of those records that can be and should be re-released without ANY kinda remix because its plain dumb PERFECTO just as it is –untouched and yet, so touching. Salsa House, it makes me drool, act the fool, and inspires me to dance the night away every time I hear it!
