Ibiza Awards 2013 Winners

Every year I await with bated breath for the results of the Ibiza DJ Awards, if only because it allows me the oppurtunity to experience all the wonderful music that played throughout the Summer in that beautiful isle oh so far away.

Ok, well maybe I’m being a lil overdramatic, but I am dying to visit Ibiza and these awards are pretty cool. Consisting of 11 Special Awards -plus a new one introduced this year- judged by an independent music panel, and nine awards voted on by the public, the IDJA is a good barometer for what has been hot in the dance music scene over the last year.

Solomun who we featured early this year in DJ of The Week, won for Best Deep House DJ while another DJ we like around these parts Hardwell won in the Electro House catagory. Armin Van Buuren won best in Trance and International DJ, plus Cristian Varela for Techno and BoilerroomTV, who we just featured in the latest WeekendMix won the Media award.
