NEW MUSIC: Move Your Body With Gene Farris
I don’t think I have to write much about the album Cosmos from Gene Farris. Once you hear it, you’ll know why. This is straight up dirty, groovy, nasty, sick house music that will have everyone gyrating, cavorting, and simply loosing it on the dance floor. Want more? Ok, I’ll say this.
There are a lot of great tracks on this album and a few of them feature audio from movies! ‘Disconnect’ features the ominous and spooky voice of HAL from 2001: A Space Odyssey. ‘Can You Dig It’ contains the speech from The Warriors, and ‘Rules of Engagement’ with Sonny Fodera has a bit of Tony Montana buried deep within.
That being said, none will get the dance floors as packed as ‘I Surrender’ featuring Dajae and the Disco infused ‘Never Let You Go’ featuring DJ Mes. These tracks will be calling you to the dance floor to jack your bodies from the moment the DJ hits play!
One of my faves is ‘Move Your Body’ a jacking House track with a heart thumping beat, crispy hi hat and tight percussion all around, a breakbeat loop too, and there’s also this short but perfectly timed kick in one part that is not customary in House music, but sounds so perfect!
