WEEKENDMIX 10.12.12: FALL INTO A NEW RHYTHM

There’s a chill in the air. It’s that time of year that you find yourself beating the sun home after a long nite out, even waking up before it on mornings. These are increasingly colder mornings where the cold has a certain bite to it that you haven’t felt for quite a while. The Fall season is a renewal period for the Earth, this is when it washes away the Summers sweat, sand, and grime, and readies itself for a big exhalation, the blasts of cold it will be sending our way. Time for us to do our own cleaning, ready ourselves for the coming months, and most importantly, take a moment to exhale as well.

This weekend’s mix is by an up and coming DJ from South Africa by the name of Kualo Rulaz. Doing exactly what we’ve come to expect from South African DJs, Rulaz delivers a smooth and sexy mix full of rhythmic, sultry, tribal, thought provoking, calming, House music. This truly is House music at its most beautiful. Rulaz’ mix is the perfect mix to sit back and take a breather too, maybe even a non hurried drive to as you go about making your preparations for the cold that will invariably be upon us.

The parties will continue, many of us won’t necessarily slow down, in fact, plenty will ramp it up as they search out that warmth that can only be found on sweaty dance floors inside of hot clubs. But, do yourself a favor, take a cue from mother earth, take a moment to look around you and inhale, exhale…breath.
